Puerto Princesa, Palawan, is well known for a wide variety of restaurants. Friends recommended KaLui Restaurant. It’s a popular restaurant, with a Balinese cuisine and barefoot dress code, and this night the place was fully booked for both sittings. We therefore suggest to make reservations.
Try fresh buko coconut, a refreshing local drink, which isn’t more than a young coconut. Or choose one of the fresh fruit shakes: mango, pineapple, papaya, water melon, avocado or jackfruit.
The menu changes with the catch of the day and the seasonal local Palawan produce. It’s heaven for lovers of veggies and seefood.
Tip for seafood lovers: when you order the catch of the day with a glass of South African sauvignon blanc, don’t forget to order the sizzling seafood sisig as a side dish.
Extra: amuse dessert, coconut with fresh tropical fruits. kaluirestaurant.com
