At Oaxen in Stockholm you can either enjoy dinner at Krog, the fine dining restaurant, or in Slip, the Nordic bistro which used to be an old shipyard. Both formulas have a focus on sustainable, local food and naturally produced wine. In the bistro they don’t have a plate service, instead you share your food with your friends.
Most dishes on the menu contain meat or fish, as is still common in Swedish cuisine. You have to specifically ask for a vegetarian option. A better way for Oaxen would be to present veggie dishes as a common choice or even the best available sustainable and delicious choice. But the colourful veggie main course we got was very tasty: crushed potatoes, cabbage, pickles and red onions with sour cream.
